Amazing is what comes to mind when seeing your paintings! I’m actually inspired myself with the kind of color combination and intricate brush strokes that you so masterfully interweave into a collective whole. Really love the contrast and emotions that flow. Can’t wait to commission you for the “Ice Cream Man” collection that I want to use as inspiration for a short film series. Keep it up! Congrats on the new site and am looking forward to more masterpieces in the future!
You know I’ve always liked your art! Michael has done a fantastic job mentoring you and it shows. I’m glad you have an official website to be able to showcase your works.
Hi Ron. Patti Fox sent me a link to your site so i could take a look at your work and give you some feedback. I really like your color combiinations, and the fact that you show your brush strokes on your work. Although the subjects are abstract, the paintings seem to be a bit precise, maybe somewhat contrived. I don’t mean that in a negative way, but I think you can do better by relaxing more with your brush strokes. As a lawyer, I can pay too much attention to the details, and I know that as an accountant, your work requires a lot of attention to detail. Paintings are much more interesting when they merely suggest a subject, leaving much to the viewer’s own imagination. I would like to see the emotion you are feeling when you paint brought out in the work. When I start getting too detailed and exacting with my painting, I get a bigger brush and add more paint, to create both movement and texture. Patti taught me this trick, and I like the results. Keep up the good work!
Hi Ron! Patti sent me a link to your site. You are really showing some interesting work. I love your use of color and the fact that you are going abstract. I do encourage you (as an artist) to loosen up a bit. My favorite piece you show is actually “Tools of teh Trade” in which you shoe parts of your palette and the painted table beneath because it was accidental. A lot of times in art we get caught up in details- but its the accidents that happen that often really make the difference. You are really off to a great start. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
